Amanda Ritchie

Amanda Ritchie

Hey, everybody! My name is Amanda Ritchie, and I've been married to Justin for nine whole years! Most people don't know that the first few years of our marriage were pretty dang tough, but thankfully that all changed when we stopped just attending a church and actually started walking with Jesus on a daily basis. We have two beautiful and fun girls: Clara, whose third birthday is today (Happy Birthday, Clara!) and Hazel, who is one. I currently lead a table at Equipped Disciple, one of Watermark's equipping classes, which is where I learned how to walk with Jesus.

Proverbs 3:1-12

Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart

3:1 My son, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments,
for length of days and years of life
and peace they will add to you.

Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and good success [1]
in the sight of God and man.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your flesh [2]
and refreshment [3] to your bones.

Honor the Lord with your wealth
and with the firstfruits of all your produce;
10 then your barns will be filled with plenty,
and your vats will be bursting with wine.

11 My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline
or be weary of his reproof,
12 for the Lord reproves him whom he loves,
as a father the son in whom he delights. (ESV)

Proverbs 6:16-19

There are six things that the Lord hates,
seven that are an abomination to him:
haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
and hands that shed innocent blood,
a heart that devises wicked plans,
feet that make haste to run to evil,
a false witness who breathes out lies,
and one who sows discord among brothers.
